Welcome to SMIS! As you get to know us better, I hope you gain a better understanding of SMIS (Tehran, Iran) and what we offer. Our school in Tehran is a relatively small, family orientated environment. We encourage parent involvement and welcome visitors to our school, so they can see firsthand why our students enjoy SMIS so much. We believe it is important to know our students and their parents well, in order to establish a vital bridge of communication for building good relationships within our school community. Our smaller school environment better achieves this goal.Our campus features spacious classrooms, art and music facilities, an auditorium, a computer lab, a gymnasium, a pool and science labs. We have excellent staff to student ratios. You can be sure that your child will benefit from the close attention, care, and guidance given by our team of dedicated, family-orientated, and professional teachers.In addition, our school offers a curriculum that will help your child not only succeed academically, but also grow and develop into a unique individual with strong values and excellent life skills. The IB PYP is not a curriculum in itself, but a way of teaching and learning. The children are encouraged to engage in inquiry-based learning, in a supportive and stimulating environment.
